Founded in 1988

The IFA-India Academy, established through the efforts of the late Shri O.P. Vaish and other esteemed professionals, is a premier institution dedicated to international taxation research and training. Conceptualized in 1988, the Academy became a reality with the support of IFA members, corporate donors, and leading professional firms. Situated in Noida’s institutional sector, the Academy provides a platform for training, research, and discourse on global tax matters.

Centre for Excellence

Since its inception in 1983, IFA India has been at the forefront of organizing conferences, seminars, workshops, and study circles on international taxation. The Academy was envisioned to institutionalize these efforts and offer structured training programs. It aims to be a “Centre for Excellence“, drawing expertise from renowned academicians, government officials, legal professionals, and industry leaders. The curriculum ranges from entry-level to advanced courses, utilizing modern teaching methods such as interactive discussions and case studies.

The Academy spans 30,000 sq. ft. across four floors, featuring:

Auditorium

A 262-seater auditorium with advanced audio-visual capabilities.

Teaching Rooms

Two modern teaching rooms with seating capacities of 40 and 60.

Digital Library

A digital library under development.

Training Programs

With globalization and the increasing significance of transfer pricing and cross-border taxation, the IFA-India Academy serves as a hub for professionals, students, and policymakers, equipping them with the expertise needed to navigate evolving international tax landscapes.

Currently, the Academy offers short-term training programs and is exploring long-duration courses in collaboration with reputed universities, with potential diploma and degree certifications. Tailor-made courses for Indian Revenue Service officers and international tax officials, particularly from Asia and Africa, are also in development. Even before its formal inauguration, the Academy has been actively conducting programs in International Taxation and Transfer Pricing.

Inauguration of IFA-India Academy, Noida

The IFA-India Academy, established by the International Fiscal Association – India Branch in Sector 62, Noida, was formally inaugurated on 18th October 2014 by Mr. Porus Kaka, President of the International Fiscal Association, and Mrs. Anita Kapur, Chairperson (Designate) of the Central Board of Direct Taxes.

Marking this milestone, the inauguration was followed by a series of insightful lectures by eminent international tax experts on "International Taxation – A Global Overview," highlighting key developments and trends shaping the global tax landscape.
